Khartoum film review

Two massive battles both begin and end the film, so l would say it is action packed as well. Even the music is nice as composer Frank Cordell's score captures both the mystery of the desert as well as the pagentry of the British empire. An impressive film that should be seen on the biggest TV screen around. Khartoum. Gordon Brown; 2/11/10 Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Khartoum [DVD] at Amazon.com. In "Talking About Trees,' director Suhaib Gasmelbari chronicles the demise of Sudanese cinema and the group of retired directors hoping to revive their country’s love of film. Khartoum was made when the last major colonies of the British Empire were gaining their independence so I thought the film was going to be a piece of Imperial nostalgia. But at the beginning it is more interesting and ambiguous than that.
